Happy New Year 2009 to all Integrated Cooperative Management System (ICMS) customers.
System Overview
Integrated Cooperative Management System (ICMS) represents applications that automate the work process in Membership, Financial Accounting, Member’s Loan and other cooperative business Departments. It facilitates the day-to-day running of those department as well as cross-departmental communication. ICMS is planned to be developed in such a way that it can operate as individual modules and ready to accommodate new modules.
All this while, it has been a well known problem that cooperatives are having such difficulties in tidying up their operational information and data that more that frequent, Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) had to get their hands into such reports before they are considered as acceptable. This problem is attributed to two major causes, lack of integration (in existing data and information management system) and high cost of ownership (to acquire such systems).
ICMS is deemed to overcome both aspect in a very efficient and smooth way. First, all the modules required by cooperatives are developed by one single entity, as such they are fully integrated since day one. But ICMS at the same time, do take special consideration in catering for small cooperatives requirement. This is achieve by developing ICMS in module model. Any prospect can choose which module that they require, elimination over pricing of ICMS.
Second, ICMS is planned to be deployed as a out-of-the-box solution that fits any standard cooperative requirement. This would reduce the cost of customization. As such, the cost of ownership would be significantly reduced. Also, Wianex Communications Sdn Bhd is also planning to arrange a cooperation with Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) to utilised their fund to assist prospect in owning ICMS.
Most cooperative management system in the market, and there are very few of them, are developed as a turn-key development project. This definitely will blow-up the cost of ownership. Thus, only few elite cooperatives can afford owning reliable systems.
